2017 Men's Club Champion is Bruce Kraczkowsky

From Saturday, July 8th to Sunday, July 9th, Blue Fox Run held the 2017 Men's Club Championship. There was a 54-hole format for the Gross Division and 36-hole for the Net Divisions. To qualify, entrants had to play in a minimum of 5 Blue Fox Run Men's Club events.

In last year's Men Club Championship, winner Tom Scarrozzo edged out the 3-way dogfight of Mick Robberds and Bruce Kraczkowsky in the Gross Division to win his 14th Club Champion title.

However, this year Kraczkowsky came back for the win with his first Blue Fox Run Men's Club Championship edging out Scarrozzo and Anthony Salvador in the process.

Kraczkowsky won 11 over par with a score of 227 over 54 holes. He shot a first round 76, followed by another 76 to make the third round cut. In the final round, he shot a 75. He is very involved with the Blue Fox Run Men's Club, serving on the tournament committee and winning the 2016 Senior Championship and Spring Classic. In addition, Kraczkowsky was the 2016 Match Play Champion in the A Flight.

Kraczkowsky also had a quite a successful 2016 in competition at the state, regional, and national level. He won the 2016 CSGA Senior Match Play Championship (defeating 2 CSGA Hall of Famers in the process); he successfully qualified for and played in the USGA Senior Amateur Championship in St. Louis; and was chosen to play for the CSGA in the Tri-State Matches against amateur teams from MA and RI. Blue Fox Run Men's Club featured his success in their newsletter, which can be accessed here.

The Net champion was Jim Grosso, who shot a first round net 67, followed up by a second round net of 64. He had a two round total of 131.
