Owner Lisa Wilson-Foley

Lisa Wilson-Foley enjoys starting and running businesses. She holds a B.S. degree from Ithaca College, a Master's degree in Healthcare Management from Yale University and an advanced degree from UCONN in the Executive Managed Care Division.

She honed her skills in various facets of the medical field until 1992 when she founded her own rehabilitation company. The following year she purchased Medical Outpatient Services, doubling its revenues within the first year. In 1996 Lisa started a second healthcare business, which provided mental health programs throughout Connecticut.

After selling several healthcare businesses to Wall Street firms in 1997, she formed Blue Fox Enterprises and began acquiring recreational facilities. This includes Blue Fox Run Golf course in Avon, CT, which has been featured in Sports Illustrated and The New York Times. It is recognized by Golf For Women magazine as one of the top five women friendly courses in the country. New England Journal of Golf also named Blue Fox Run to the top 100 list of “very best public-access courses in New England”. It was the first public golf course in the nation to provide child care. Next spring, Blue Fox Run will unveil an additional nine holes.

Blue Fox Enterprises also includes Fox Run at Copper Hill Golf Course, Blue Fox Rock‘n Bowl and Blue Fox Walk Mini Golf Course. Blue Fox Walk was declared to be one of the top ten mini golf courses in the country by the Travel Channel. Most recently, Lisa has purchased and renovated three b&b in Newport, Rhode Island: the Newport Blues Inn, The Jewel, and the Black Duck.

In addition to her professional achievements, Lisa balances the responsibilities of parenting seven children. In 2005, she traveled the world for six months with three of her daughters. She home-schooled the children throughout their journey.

  Superintendent Brian M. Johnson

Brian Johnson is a native of Connecticut and a 1991 graduate of the University of Connecticut. He then attended the University of Massachusetts and graduated in 1994 with an associate degree in Turf grass Science.

His experience includes the five star Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado and Teton Pines Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Finally, he decided to come home to Connecticut and spent nearly 8 years at the Golf Club of Avon as an Assistant Superintendent.

Brian joined the Blue Fox Run team in November of 1999. He oversees both Blue Fox Run Golf Course in Avon and Fox Run at Copper Hill in East Granby.
